Discussion Assignments: (1) Discuss the Rationalizations and Justifications given by the Europeans to colonize Africa. Your discussion must be clear and specific as to how the rationalizations and justifications were actually achieved and maintained. (2) How did Europe exploit Africa in terms of economic gains; power; and destruction of pre-colonial African Cultures? Your discussion must demonstrate your understanding of key issues in colonialism as they applied to the African Diaspora. Specific examples and references from the resources used in this course must be used in your discussion.
