The Battle Between The Climate and Capitalism
In Part Three (CHAPTER 9, 10, 11, 12) of Klein’s book ‘This Changes Everything’, she discusses several examples of ways to combat the crises unleashed on the planet by the forces of capitalism. For your research essay, you will choose one example of an anti-fossil fuel industry movement and report on the movement. The movement can be anywhere in the world. ( 5 paragraphs total ( Introduction, body paragraphs (3), and Conclusion). In this essay, you must do the following: 1. summarize Klein’s Part 3 (CHAPTER 9, 10, 11, 12) in the introduction of your essay 2. use ONE direct quote from each chapter in Part 3 throughout your essay so you continue to connect Klein’s ideas to the topic of your research 3. research the example you are discussing and include at least THREE outside sources in your essay from your research 4. include a works cited with all the works you cite from within your essay (you will have at least four entries in your works cited) 5. conclude with a personal connection to and reflection on your topic 6. use MLA format throughout the essay
